Hand-made lace is still a part of our every-day lives. Being a mistress of preserving cultural heritage, I try to contribute to its preservation. Designer textiles including hand-made lace, such as curtains, table cloths, bed linen, as well as business presents are presented in my studio, which has been situated in Mestni trg 17 street in Idrija.
Having finished studies at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering- department of textiles with prof. Metka Vrhunc, I realized that starting a business based on a arts was the bestway of trying to combine aesthetic measures with the tradition of bobbin lace and lace-making.
My creations decorate rooms at the Chamber of Trade of Slovenia, the SKB bank in Idrija, companies, Belinka, Rotomatika, Kolektor Idrija, The Kenda manor hause in Spodnja Idrija, The Municipiality of Idrija, Psychiatric Hospital in Idrija, Slovenian Intellectual Property Office, the Thai enbassy in Ljubljana, as well as Slovene embassies in Germany, Turkey, France,...
In 1994 I organized an independent fashion show, at the Grad Gewerkenegg castle in Idrija, presenting clothes that include hand-made bobbin lace. I also demonstrated the craft of lace making itself in reputable places such as the Palace of Nations in Geneva, the Residence Palace of the European Council in Strassbourg, Museum of Ethnology in Vienna, Hit Business centre in Nova Gorica and the Slovenian parliament building in Ljubljana.
In 2003 I opened a gallery shop with Idrijan lace in the old city centre, Gornji trg 23 street in Ljubljana. In 2003 I was also awarded two prizes for the best settlement: One >My shop 2003<. -for service, offer and looks, and the other, a Ljubljana Tourism Quality Award - for the contribution to its quality as a whole.
